Description

The US Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) located at Fort Dix, NJ, on behalf of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) 6.8 Corporate Business Office, intends to award a sole source contract to The Boeing Company, DBA Boeing Division Defense, Space & Security, 7755 E Marginal Way, Seattle WA 98108-4002 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), quote mark Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. quote mark Boeing will establish an organic Depot-level maintenance repair capability for Core Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRA's) within the Ice and Rain Protection System currently used in the P-8A Poseidon Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft. Boeing is the developer and only manufacturer of the Core WRA's within the Ice and Rain Protection System used in the P-8A Poseidon MMA and the only source capable of meeting the Government's requirements to analyze and establish an organic Depot-level maintenance repair capability. As the only manufacturer of the WRA's for use on the P-8A Ice and Rain Protection System, Boeing has the specialized knowledge and expertise required for repair of the system. Through market research, no other sources were identified to have the equipment that has the same form, fit and function as that which is utilized for the P-8A and scope required for this requirement.
