- Solicitation Number: W912HV-15-B-0013 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY TO ANNOUNCE AN INDUSTRY DAY FOR W912HV-15-B-0013 AS FOLLOWS: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan Engineer District, will conduct an Industry Day to announce a new bidder inquiry system for Repair Towers 847 and 848 (136 Units) at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan. Japan Engineer District will be using a new system for the Contractor's to submit their Requests for Information. The goal of this industry day is to: 1) Familiarize the industry with the new Projnet system; 2) Receive feedback from industry The Industry Day will be held on Thursday May 7, 2015 from 09:00 AM - 10:30 AM Japan Standard Time (JST), at the Okinawa Area Office, Camp Foster, Building No. 364, Okinawa, Japan. Participants are limited to a maximum of two (2) individuals per company. The presentation will be conducted in the English language only. No translators will be provided. The agenda is planned as follows: 09:00 - 09:30 Demonstration of Projnet 09:30 - 10:30 Questions and answers session A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE RELEASED PRIOR TO THIS INDUSTRY DAY NOR WILL A DRAFT SOLICITATION BE PRESENTED AT THE EVENT. Participants who do not have base access onto Camp Foster are required to submit the following information in advance of the industry day. (1) Full name of personnel attending (maximum two(2)) (2) Citizenship (3) Vehicle make/model, color of vehicle, and license plate This information is MANDATORY. Required information must be emailed to the US Army Engineer District, Japan, Contracting Division, Execution Branch, attention to Mr. Norman Roldan and Mr. Norman G. Mackie, by April 29, 2015, 16:30 PM JST. E-MAIL: Norman.roldan.civ@usace.army.mil and Norman.G.Mackie.civ@usace.army.mil If the information is received later than the due date and time, Contractors may not be provided base access. Offerors are to show a valid Japanese Driver's License or Passport at the gate at the time of the industry day if one does not have a base access pass. Attendance at the Industry Day is voluntary and is not required to participate in the proposed acquisition. REQUIREMENT: Repair Towers 847 and 848 (136 Units) at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan Provide all management, tools, design, supplies, equipment, transportation, labor and services necessary to repair Common Areas and 136 units at Camp Kinser, Towers 847 and 848. Common area (to include hallways and stairwells) work to include but not limited to replacement of flooring, light fixtures, paint, ceilings, cabinets, bathrooms (water closet, sinks, partitions), door (interior and exterior), windows. Unit work (136 Units) to include but not limited to replacement of ceilings, flooring, windows, doors, paint, light fixtures, hard wired smoke alarms. Contractor to repair existing fire sprinkler system in Towers 847 and 848 and provide complete coverage inside each individual unit. Kitchen work includes but is not limited to replacement of countertops, paint, range hood, base cabinets, GFCI outlets, wall cabinets, sink and sink drain system, flooring, wall tiles, GFCI, lighting fixtures, doors and any other associated work. Bathroom work includes but not limited to replacement of sink, bathtub, tile, lighting, ceiling, toilet, GFCI receptacles, exhaust fan, fixtures, flooring, piping and any other associated work. Minisplit and electric water heater work includes but is not limited to comprehensive electrical survey, necessary electrical upgrades to meet the current code and to ensure that all electrical systems are capable of supporting the installation of mini-split and electric water heater systems, cooling/dehumidifier system for common areas and hallways. In addition remediation testing/abatement of mold, asbestos and lead and all other related work to provide complete and usable facilities. Magnitude of Construction 10,000,000,000 YEN to 25,000,000,000 YEN (utilizing a 100 YEN to 1 U.S. dollar rate)
