Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, intends to procure a maximum of twenty-seven (27) Tube Facing and Squaring Tools, Model 302E USMC from Tri Tool, Inc. Tri Tool is the only source that is able to supply a Tube Facing and Squaring Tool that is suitable for use in the V-22 Aircraft. This tool will face/ square 0.188" to 1.0" outside diameter tubing with a wall thickness of up to 0.2". This tube squaring tool must use an OD Saddle Clamping System for holding and rounding the tube. The tool must accept its own torque through the Saddle Clamping System. The standard Saddle Clamping System requires a straight length of tube 0.875" long. Automatic clamping can be provided using a pneumatic clamping system. Speed control must be provided with a variable speed electric drive or pneumatic drive motor. Feed is to be provided by a lever action with a microfeed system providing an accurate controlled feed of 0.001". This tube squaring tool must be able to shave/ resize a V-22 Titanium Tube after the tube has been bent. The trimming must be able to be done in close proximity (0.875 inch) to the last bend. The Tube Squaring Tool must include: • 110V Motor Assembly • Wrench • Carrying Case • Operators Manual This is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
