- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: USDA Forest Service, George Washington/Jefferson National Forest, has a requirement for site improvements at Trout Pond Recreation Area. Work consists of two items: • Contractor will demolish the existing bathhouse building and furnish and install a prefabricated toilet building, with related site preparation, utility connections, and installation of sidewalks and landscaping. • Contractor will furnish and install a potable water system. Work includes rehabilitation of a 10,000 gallon concrete water storage tank, rehabilitation of a drilled well with submersible pump, supply and installation of a new precast water system treatment building, supply and installation of water treatment equipment, and final commissioning of new treatment system. Contract time: 120 days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $250,000 and $500,000 PROJECT LOCATION: Trout Pond Recreation Area is located in Hardy County, West Virginia on Forest Service Road 500, approximately 31 miles north of Broadway, VA, and 36 miles east of Petersburg, West Virginia. Address is 814 Trout Pond Campground RD, Lost City, West VA 26810. Lat: 38.95278, Long: -78.73472, 38 degrees 57'10"N, 78 degrees 44'5"W.
