Description
This notice is for a Registered Hazardous Waste Transporter who is an Active Transporter, in accordance with the California Department of Toxic Substances Control, for the transport of used antifreeze to and from authorized recycling centers, in accordance with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) of 1976. If your company is an interested Small Business, submission of a Certificate of Responsibility is requested. Contractor shall properly receive, transport, recycle spent antifreeze, and deliver properly recycled antifreeze both to and from as many as 56 possible locations aboard Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA. The purpose of the Recycle Antifreeze Program is to assist U.S. military installations to be in compliance with Executive Order 13514 and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) with regard to the use of recycled antifreeze. The Recycled Antifreeze Program will be accomplished by supplying recycled antifreeze to installations and by picking-up and recycling used antifreeze, from installations and then delivering reconstituted antifreeze that meets new-product specifications. This requirement is for onsite pickup of spent or used antifreeze and delivery of recycled or reconstituted antifreeze for tactical and non-tactical vehicles at multiple base locations, within MCB Camp Pendleton, CA, where maintenance occurs. There are currently fifty-two (52) service locations, with a potential for a total of 56 locations. Of the 52 current locations, it is estimated that only 25 to 30 will require recycling services, during a one-month time frame. Based on previous years experience, between 4500 and 6000 gallons per year is expected to require recycling services.
