Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey 07724 intends to enter into a contract on the basis of other than full and open competition to renew software maintenance and technical support on 500 existing VA-owned Active Strategy Enterprise (ASE) software licenses currently in use at the Veterans Health Administration Health Eligibility Center, VA Central Office, VA Health Administration Center, and Office of Information and Technology. VA TAC intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of a 12 month base period with two 12 month option periods to The Advisory Board Company 2445 Main Street NW, Washington, DC 20037, pursuant to authority 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(2) entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The proposed solicitation number for this effort is VA118-15-Q-0146. There is no place of performance for this acquisition as this is a software maintenance and technical support renewal. This acquisition will help to automate, focus and deploy the current VHA Chief Business Office strategic objectives of metrics by measuring, viewing, and managing performance that improves results with the creation and deployment of balanced scorecards, performance measurement, and strategic performance management frameworks. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541618 with a corresponding small business size standard of $15M. The estimated date of award for this action is April 1, 2015. This notification shall close on April 1, 2014. This is a notification of intent, not a request for proposals.
