Description
Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board Request for Information (RFI) Subject: Mainframe Testing Tools and Services This Request for Information (RFI) is issued pursuant to FAR Part 15.201(e). The United States Government does not intend to award a contract, rather desires capability information for planning purposes. Follow-up questions may be asked for clarification. The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) is not seeking proposals at this time, and will not accept unsolicited proposals. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be at the responding party's expense. This RFI does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a guarantee to issue an RFP. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. All information received in response to this RFI marked proprietary will be handled accordingly. The FRTIB is not liable for any proprietary information not properly marked or identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with applicable Government regulations. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any, is issued. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the FedBizOpps website for additional information pertaining to this RFI. 1. Agency Information The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) is an independent federal agency that was established to administer the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), which provides Federal employees the opportunity to save for additional retirement security. The TSP is a tax-deferred defined contribution plan similar to private sector 401(k) plans. 2. Purpose The purpose of this sources sought notice is to obtain responses regarding Mainframe testing tools and services for completing a library for regression testing of Mainframe and Distributed systems. FRTIB is particularly interested in tools used to automate regression testing on an OMNI Mainframe system that integrates with existing HP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) – QTP (Quick Test Professional) Automated Framework. 3. Requested Information: 1. Company Summary to include the items listed below a. Name(s) or organization(s) and addresses; b. Contact information c. Size(s) of organizations(s) in terms of revenue and employees; d. Years in business; and e. Type(s) of entity(ties) 2. Description of the system software tool(s) that performs automated regression testing on Distributed and Mainframe applications. 3. Automation Tools that integrate with HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). 4. Complete creating a library for Regression testing utilizing HP ALM and QTP. 5. Mainframe Automation Tool(s) 5.1) How will Mainframe automation testing be accomplished? a) Include Product or Solution features to support automated batch mainframe application testing. b) Method of test results analysis. c) Product integration with HP ALM and/or QTP, including managing and invoking tests and transfer of results and reports. d) Transactional Testing on OMNI Mainframe defined contribution recordkeeping system. 5.2) What use-cases detail the above process? 4.
