- THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE OF AN OPPORTUNITY FOR INDUSTRY TO DISCUSS PROPOSED CLAMSHELL DREDGING WORK. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE FROM THIS INITIAL NOTICE. NO SOLICITATION, PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT, OR DRAWINGS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED TO MEETING ATTENDEES PRIOR TO THE PROPOSED MEETING. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR BIDS. THE ANTICIPATED SOCIO-ECONOMIC SET-ASIDE IS TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. THE ANTICIPATED ACQUISITION APPROACH IS INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB). West Coast Clamshell Maintenance Dredging, 2015 The Portland District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a Pre-Solicitation Meeting by phone on Wednesday, April 8th, at 12:30 PM PDT regarding potential projects listed below. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss with industry the acquisition strategy for the multiple projects as well as discuss any questions, concerns, or comments industry may have regarding the upcoming solicitation. The goal of this meeting is to work proactively with industry, to gain a common understanding of the requirements and a path forward for this work. The meeting will begin with the Portland District Project Managers reviewing the list of projects proposed and then an identification of the proposed acquisition strategy and timeline. The District will seek industry recommendations, respond to industry questions, comments, and concerns at that time. A clamshell dredge and a bottom dump scow will be required for this work. All placement sites are in-water. All of the work is maintenance dredging. Potential Projects: Rogue River Entrance to Boat Basin Outer Tangent is located in Gold Beach, Curry County, Oregon. The anticipated scope within this contract will include dredging and placement of approximately 24,000 cubic yards of material with placement in the ODMDS site. The environmental in-water work window is June 1 through October 31. Port Orford is located in Curry County, Oregon. The anticipated scope within this contract will include dredging and placement of approximately 40,000 cubic yards of material with placement in 404 near shore site. The environmental in-water work window is May 1 through October 31. Baker Bay is located in Ilwaco, Pacific County, Washington. The anticipated scope within this contract will include dredging and placement of approximately 90,000 cubic yards of material with placement in-water in the Columbia River within four miles (one-way). The environmental in-water work window is August 1 through December 15. Chinook is located in Pacific County, Washington. The anticipated scope within this contract will include dredging and placement of approximately 90,000 cubic yards of material with placement in-water in the Columbia River within four miles (one-way). The environmental in-water work window is August 1 through December 15. The project work window will allow for approximately 150 days. Payment method will be by pre-post survey. Project depths will be determined in the solicitation.
