Description

The purpose of this Modification to Pre-Solicitation Notice is to correct the Project Statement of Services. The project Statement of Services is hereby replaced in its entirety by the below. Construction Services Bonham CLC Nurse Station Relocation Project # 549A4-14-143 Statement of Services This project supports the Long Term Care Cultural Transformation Initiative and creates a "Homelike" environment for veterans located at the Community Living Center (CLC), Building # 29, Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center, Bonham, Texas. The contractor will transform two centralized nursing stations into a common living space for residents, families and visitors. Renovation areas include "B Wing" and "C Wing" Nurse Station vestibules and perimeter rooms, and hallway alcove work stations. The contractor shall provide all material, equipment, labor and supervision to fully renovate CLC facilities as required by drawings and specifications. Prepare site for building operations, demolition and removal of existing structures, and related works for build back to ensure a complete project. Contractor must field verify existing conditions and may be asked to perform some work outside of normal business hours due to continuous operations. The period of performance is 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The method of procurement shall be an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with Parts 14 and 36 of the FAR, with an estimated solicitation release date of on or about April 27, 2015 and a bid due date on or about May 27, 2015. The VA reserves the right to use only Federal Business Opportunities /FedBizOpps (FBO) website - www.fbo.gov via the internet, to provide notification of any amendments to this requirement and to post the subsequent IFB solicitation. It is the contractor's responsibility to view the FBO website daily for any amendments to this requirement and to obtain the IFB, Specification, and Drawings. This procurement is a competitive offer and the solicitation will be advertised as 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), under Public Law 109-461 (38 USC 8127), offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The NAICS Code is 236220, with a business size standard of $36.5 Million. Probable Cost Range: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000
