- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY- MarketSurvey-FaçadeRepair-WV-05.15. This is not a request for offers or proposals. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Information received will be used to determine the availability of technically capable and otherwise responsible Woman Owned Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a) or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms that would be interested in submitting offers for an anticipated solicitation for a Façade Repair and cleaning contract in Charleston, WV. The exterior masonry façade elements of the building are in generally good condition with the exception of the architectural cornice and the exterior wall sealants. It appears that the steel associated with the architectural cornice, is rusting due to the deterioration of the surface coating on the steel. The decorative aluminum paneling edge members of the architectural cornice can be seen sagging in one area. The majority of the sealant appears to be deteriorated and has reached it's life expectancy the exception of a few areas where new sealant was placed during the annual cleaning cycle. The majority of leaks in the building, are coming from the deteriorating sealant joints on the building. Generally speaking, the majority of the project is basic cleaning and maintenance work. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued in May 2015, with award being made by July 2015. The applicable NAICS code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $33.5 million. The anticipated contract will be procured utilizing negotiation procedures as described in FAR PART 15. All interested HUBZone, Woman Owned Small Businesses, 8(a) or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses contractors should notify this office by email on or before April 6, 2015, 12:00pm, Eastern Time of their interest. Interested firms must possess the applicable licensures to perform work in WV. The following information is requested in your response: (1) Identification (including name, address, phone number and DUNS number) and verification of the company to be certified by the Small Business Administration as a HUBZone, Woman Owned Small Businesses, 8(a) or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (2) Past Experience - Provide three to five descriptions of projects substantially complete or completed within the last five years that demonstrate proficiency with façade repair and cleaning contracts ranging from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 in occupied buildings. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and Project Manager/Contracting Officer name & current telephone & email address along with a brief description of the work performed. No extensive marketing paraphernalia is required at this time as an email addressing requested information will meet requirements. Interested firms should submit an email with the subject line: MarketSurvey-FaçadeRepair-WV-05.15, along with the above requested information to Celeste Dow, Contracting Officer. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions, giving maximum consideration to the small business socio-economic categories based upon industry input. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information provided. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey.
