- Description
- Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, GA intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with Thermo Fisher Scientific for Repair-Rebuild of Paint Analyzer owned by the government and located at Fort Gordon GA. The following service is required: Repair and service of one lead based paint X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer, model XLP303A Niton XLP303A, handheld XRF unit, includes: 1) replace output source, Cd-109, 40mCi isotope in licensed facility; 2) all replacement parts, labor and shipping to be included in price; 3) install the latest software upgrade; 4) perform full factory recalibration of the instrument; 5) provide written warranty of repair and replaced parts; 6) written warranty of source and detectors replaced; 7) proper disposal of radioactive materials by licensed facility. A determination not to compete this requirement was made pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Only one responsible Source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. If no affirmative written responses are received by 9:00 am EST, 23 March 2015, award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses may be submitted to deborah.s.mcgugan.civ@mail.mil
