This project is being advertised as a total small business set-aside and as such it is open to all qualified small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 115310 and the small business size standard is $7.0 million. The solicitation for this project will be available only through the Federal Business Opportunities website www.fbo.gov. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted in writing to Jay Tobin at jtobin@fs.fed.us. All Offerors shall be registered in the System for Award Management ( www.sam.gov ) database to be eligible for award. Work will be performed on the Gunnison National Forest in Saguache County, Colorado. The project objective is to plant eight units totalling 89+/- acres with approximately 4,600 Douglas-fir seedlings and 29,400 Engelmann spruce seedlings. Additionally, Government supplied shade cards shall be installed for all seedlings planted. Project maps are attached. A pre-proposal site visit is NOT being scheduled due to anticipated snow cover and the unpredictability of spring weather and travel conditions. The planned completion for this project is in the May - June 2015 time period with a performance period of 14 consecutive days. The solicitation has been attached.
