Description
Missile Defense Agency - 09 March 2015 Contract Announcement Washington State University is being awarded a competitive, cost reimbursement contract. The total value of this contract is $594,498.00. Under this new contract, the contractor will research, develop, demonstrate, and obtain insight into electronic components to help mitigate associated reliability issues on future electronic assemblies early in the design, development, and demonstration phases to ensure maximum reliability and availability of operation (Ao). This research exploits the performance of this new technology that is intended to be used in harsh environments. The work will be performed in Pullman, WA with an estimated completion date of March 08, 2018. This contract was competitively procured via publication on the Federal Business Opportunities website under the MDA's Broad Agency Announcement for Missile Defense Agency Science and Technology Advanced Research (MSTAR); HQ0147-15-MSTAR-BAA. Fiscal year 2015 Research, Development, Test and Evaluation funds in the amount of $167,000.00 are being obligated on this award. In accordance with FAR 35.006 (c), the use of a cost reimbursement contract for this research and development effort is appropriate. This is not a Foreign Military Sales acquisition.
