- ****ATTENTION****ALL FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION MUST BE DIRECTED TO: Terry Carter, Contracting Officer; email: terry.carter5.civ@mail.mil. No telephone calls will be accepted. PRON: AX5F5502AX; NOUN: Coupling, Drive Shaf; NSN: 1615-01-465-4672; P/N: 7-211320093-5; Min/max qty of 50/150 each on a Basic + 2 Ops type contract with deliveries to New Cumberland, PA. This is a Critical Safety Item (CSI). Required delivery with Contractor Tested First Article Requirement is 50 each 263 Days After Contract Award (DACA) and 50 each year until contract completion. First Article Test Report is due 163 DACA. Required delivery without First Article Test is 50 each 175 DACA and 50 each year until contract completion with deliveries to New Cumberland, PA. This requirement is restricted to: The Boeing Company (CAGE: 8V613) because this part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source require acquisition of the part from the approved source. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. All prospective manufacturers, or distributors, seeking to compete for a solicitation for Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command (AMCOM) Spares, for any restricted source parts, are required to be an AMCOM approved source. To obtain approval, vendors must submit a SAR package, for review and approval, to the Engineering Directorate (ED), Quality Engineering Division. Source approval must be obtained prior to being considered for contract award. Approvals are made on an individual part number basis for a specific manufacturing location (CAGE). Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by following the SAR submission guidance provided on the website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casldba.casl_cmo_samsar. Questions concerning SAR submissions can be directed to the ED SAR Team at EDSAR@amrdec.army.mil or call the SAR Team at 256-313-8978, 256-313-0341 or 256-313-8994. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation however; solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies.
