- Description
- Highly Specialized support services to assist in developing and managing the GPS technical baseline in support of SMC/GP Directorate. This requirement includes development and implementation of directives and standards, improved and dynamic communications, new tools and techniques to predict issues early enough to change the outcome or minimize the effect on the enterprise, disciplined processes to develop and maintain the systems baseline documents and interfaces, and performance metrics that ensure continuous integration and operational capability improvements (measures of effectiveness). These services will support multiple GPS Systems to include Space Segment (GPS IIR-M, GPS IIF, and GPS III), Control Segment (OCS & OCX), User Equipment (MGUE & Advanced Technology UE/ADAP/MAGR), and Nuclear Detonation Detection System (NDS). The services awarded are for a short-term bridge extension that has been put in place pending award for the follow-on contract. Justification & Approval for other than full and open competition for an extension of systems, engineering, and integration services within the GPS directorate for a period of 2 months base with the option of a 4 month extension.
