- Description
- This project is Design Build and requires stamped and signed drawings by licensed Professional Engineers. The design build contractor shall convert an existing weight room, storage, and locker room into a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) rated AEGIS simulator space. This new, approximately 1260 square foot space will be designed to house several new government provided server racks and servers, as well as operator consoles and displays for real time world training. This work entails providing a room designed to the IC Tech Spec for ICD/ICS 705 for SCIF/ENCLAVE specifications. All design and construction shall be completed prior to the AEGIS equipment installation team arriving on site. The government installation team will then provide and populate all equipment and the inner wiring connections within the space constructed by the design build contractor. The equipment space proposed requires multiple engineering disciplines with an emphasis on, but not limited to Architectural, Electrical, Fire Protection and Suppression, and Mechanical features. Some limited structural determinations shall be required during design and coordination. A new raised floor system shall be required to elevate the new consoles and server equipment for ease of routing electrical branch circuits, server backbone cabling, and horizontal communications under floor within the room layout. A single in/out demark electrical penetration chase is proposed for all conduits; raceway or utilities required leaving the SCIF space. Additionally, one section of the remodel requires the ceiling to be vaulted and raised to meet the (4) large screen display viewing requirement from all angles of the room, and over all the consoles while seated. Preliminary site investigation was completed with the belief that raising the ceiling is possible.
