- Description
- The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center (JDDVAMC), 4646 John R, Detroit, MI. 48201 intends to solicit from only one source, Wayne State University, to establish a six (6) month contract for the services of an Institutional Review Board (IRB). The basis for this proposed sole source procurement is that the JDDVAMC is prohibited from utilizing commercial IRBs and VA medical centers may only have either their own IRB or utilize the IRB of their educational affiliate. The JDDVAMC has determined it is more cost efficient to utilize the IRB of their educational affiliate than create its own IRB. This is not a request for quotes however; all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Comments regarding this proposed procurement may be directed to Contracting Officer Gregory Stevens at gregory.stevens@va.gov no later than March 10, 2015 at 4 pm EDT.
