Description
FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - The Combined Arms Center (CAC) recently held an industry forum to discuss how to prepare the Army of 2025 and beyond and seeks industry's assistance in creating tough, realistic training in support of the Human Dimension initiative. The forum took place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 5 2015 at the Frontier Conference Center, 350 Biddle Blvd., Fort Leavenworth. An official record of this forum can be found at: http://usacac.army.mil/node/565. To build the Force of 2025 and beyond, the Army is looking for innovative ways to use current and future technologies to enable realistic training that replicates today's complex operational environment and prepares our Soldiers and units to win in a complex world. Based on the results of this Industry Forum, the Combined Arms Center is currently developing its Science and Technology (S&T) research priorities as well as capability requirements documents for the Synthetic Training Environment (STE). CAC requests one to two page information papers addressing ideas on how their industry would address the challenge(s) in the attachment below. The Government does not presently intend to award a contract, but wants to obtain market information and capabilities for planning purposes in an effort to improve the quality of our concepts, capability requirements, and focus our S&T resources. Vendor provided information on capabilities is strictly voluntary and will not be reimbursed by the Government. CAC will review submitted information papers in a formalized process. Based on this review, CAC may request from industry more detailed white papers to inform our S&T priorities, refine concepts, and improve our capability requirements. CAC seeks one to two page information papers that address challenges associated with the Synthetic Training Environment. We encourage companies to focus their information papers on the specific questions outlined in the attachment. Companies may submit multiple papers or ideas. There is no prescribed format for the papers. CAC requests papers be submitted as PDF files. For more information, please contact the primary point of contact at the bottom of this announcement. The deadline for information papers is 10 April 2015. Please submit papers to: usarmy.leavenworth.CAC.mbx.cac-industry@mail.mil To access the record of the CAC 2025B Human Dimension Realistic Training Industry Forum, please go to: http://usacac.army.mil/node/565. CAC, Fort Leavenworth, is a major subordinate headquarters of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. It has often been referred to as the Intellectual Center of the Army. CAC develops and integrates Army leader development, doctrine, education, lessons learned, functional training, training support, training development, and proponent responsibilities in order to support mission command and prepare the Army to successfully conduct unified land operations in a joint, inter-agency, inter-governmental, multinational environment.
