THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO SERVICE-DISABLED-VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. The Coatesville VA Medical Center is soliciting bids under Solicitation No. VA-244-15-B-0576 for the following: 'RENOVATE REFRIGERATORS & FREEZERS BLDGS. 58 & 139' on Project No. 542-15-120. Contractor shall perform work to provide all labor, materials, tools and supervision required to renovate Four (4) Walk-In Refrigerators, Two (2) Walk-In Freezers in Building 139, and totally demolish and remove Two (2) Walk-In Refrigerators, including all associated cooling equipment and related electrical wiring/conduit back to main electrical panel in Building 58 as detailed on the plans and specifications of solicitation at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. The Solicitation documents and drawings will be available for download from the web https://www.fbo.gov on or about March 16, 2015. Potential bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information. The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. Bidders will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package, drawings, and subsequent amendments, if any. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation will NOT be honored. It is essential that interested parties register on the bidders' mailing list at https://www.fbo.gov, 'Interested Vendor List'. Individual copies of the Bidder's Mailing List WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation amendments issued to the IFB will be posted to the website and bidders are advised it is their responsibility to obtain and acknowledge all amendments. Paper copies of amendments will NOT be individually mailed. The ONLY Pre-Bid Walk Thru will be held on March 26, 2015, at 10:00 am, EST (Contractors are to meet in Bldg. 70 Conference Room). While the walk-thru is not mandatory, all bidders, suppliers and subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend. All requests for information or questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer via mail or by email: carol.pomraning@va.gov no later than Close of Business, April 2, 2015. No telephonic or fax requests will be honored. In accordance with FAR Part 36, the magnitude for this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000 and NAICS Code 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15.0 million. Bid Opening Date is scheduled for April 16, 2015, at 10:00 am EST. After the formal bid opening, an award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. All interested contractors must ensure that their firms have the ability to provide 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and a 20% Bid Guarantee. The Government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from this solicitation. Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds. Offerors must be listed as 'verified' in the Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov, and be currently registered including completing online Representations and Certifications at the System for Award Management (SAM), www.sam.gov. MUST meet the CVE SDVOSB verification requirements per www.vetbiz.gov, MUST have a current record in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), and MUST meet OSHA/EPA requirements.
