- THIS IS A MARKET RESEARCH/SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SEEKING INFORMATION ONLY. This is a Sources Sought announcement only seeking SMALL BUSINESS responses in order to determine Small Business participation in this acquisition. The 355th Contracting Office, Davis-Monthan AFB (DMAFB) intends to procure one Aerospace qualified heat treating system for steel tools, aluminum, PH stainless, and other alloys. The system must meet Aerospace Material Specification - AMS 2750E; remanufactured products WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Newly manufactured product must meet the following specifications: Dual chamber combination furnace and oven system with roll away quench tank and designed for full compliance to Technical Order 1-1A-9 for AMS 2750E pyrometry standards and heat treatment of most metals. The lower 2,000°F furnace must have a certified TUS volume of 12" wide, 12" high, 36" long - featuring up to Class 2 uniformity from 1,000° to 2,000°F, gas tight and able to be used with air or inert atmosphere. The upper 1200°F oven chamber must have a certified TUS volume of 18" wide, 12" high and 48" deep, is an air / convection design and capable of meeting Class 1 or 2 uniformity from 150F to 1200F. The model needs to also include all necessary equipment for NADCAP certification. The aging oven needs to qualify for Class 1 (+/- 5F) from 200F to 1100F). Temperature Uniformity Survey (TUS) High / Low Survey Ports must be installed for the monitoring high/low temperatures. The designated NAICS Code is 333994, Industrial Process Furnace and Oven Manufacturer, size standard is 500 employees. Your response shall include your company's size, CAGE/DUNS codes and the primary point of contact. Documentation of technical expertise and capability must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise, certification, and products to meet all required specifications under this acquisition. It is imperative that business concerns responding to this notice articulate their capabilities clearly and adequately. Responses to this notice are strictly voluntary; the Government will not pay for any costs incurred by interested parties in response to this notice.
