- 5- Hartford FAR Clauses 4-ETR Terms & Conditions 3-W-9 Form 2-Vendor Acknowledgement 1- RFQ-SOW (HJCA-15-Community _Center_Meeting_Room_Air _Conditioning _Installation_Bid_APR14) "THIS IS A SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY" Request for Quote COMMUNITY CENTER AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLATION The Hartford Job Corps Academy (HJCA) and Education & Training Resources (ETR); located at 100 William Shorty Campbell Street, Hartford, CT. 06106, are desirous of a certified, licensed, and fully insured contractor to submit a bid on the federally funded project mentioned herein; and if successfully awarded the subject contract, to satisfactorily provide the following services according to the established criteria contained within same. All b idders must have a "Dun & Bradstreet" (DUNS) number to be awarded a federal contract and provide documentation of such. All bidders must be registered in "System for Award Management" (SAM) before being awarded a federal contract and provide documentation of such. Davis Bacon wages apply to this project. There will be a mandatory pre-bid walk through /conference on March 10, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Final bids are due to this center, not later than March 17, 2015 at 4:00 PM. Point of contact for this project is Patricia Uccello, who can be reached via E-mail at uccello.patricia@jobcorps.org Scope of Work Contractor to supply all materials, labor and tools to provide a split DX ductless air conditioning system using (1) one condensing unit and (2) two indoor units. Use (2) two small-chassis (2'x2'), 24,000 BTUH ceiling cassettes. Provide a 48,000 BTUH air cooled condensing unit on grade where the existing air conditioning unit is located. All work shall be performed in accordance with the manufactures specifications and Federal, State and Local building codes governing Construction industry and the insulation of the air conditioning unit and parts. Select equipment that uses a non-ozone-depleting refrigerant such as R-410a and meets energy star requirements in place at the time of the equipment purchase. Reuse the existing weatherproof disconnect switch for the new outdoor unit and fuse in accordance with manufactures recommendations. Energize one outdoor unit using the electrical supply for the existing air conditioner and energize the other indoor unit from the nearest appropriate panel with adequate capacity using 3# 12 in ½ EMT with local 1-pole disconnect. Larger office space to include one indoor unit to be located on the southwest wall of the room and one unit will be located on the southeast wall of the room to the height that will allow the unit to run most efficiently. Smaller office will have one unit located on the southwest wall of the room. Provide a local 1 pole disconnect for each indoor unit. Using 90LF of 120V (3#12in ½" EMT) For the Exterior unit, using 90LF of 208V 1 phase wiring 3# 10 in ½" EMT. Provide condensing overflow sensing. Remove the existing air conditioning condensing unit and air handler and place it where directed by the center maintenance manager. The contractor will supply the center with a Manufactures specification sheet of the Air Conditioning unit to be used along with an availability of the materials being used prior to ordering the materials for the project to ensure that the materials are readily available for purchase and that purchase of repair parts are available for future needs. The contractor will coordinate work hours for the building, with the center and have those hours reflected in the work schedule provided to the center prior to the start of work. Contractor is responsible for the security of all their supplies, tools and equipment, as well as the cleaning and the removal of all construction and other debris generated by their work daily. Contractor is responsible for the verification of all measurements. All vendors must completely fill out, sign and return the "HJCA Community Center Meeting Room Air Conditioning Installation Bid Information Sheet" found on page two of this scope of work with their proposal. All vendors must use the HJCA "Community Center Meeting Room Air Conditioning Installation Bid Information Sheet 17MAR15" and submit it electronically to : patricia.uccello@etrky.com All other required items can be submitted by mail or sent scan email electronically. All services are to be bid as written. All services are to be performed and delivered to our location at 100 William Shorty Campbell Street, Hartford, CT. 06106, by the successful bidder (s). Any and all miscellaneous charges must be included in the price stated on the bid sheet. All orders placed by HJCA will be for all services rendered on this project.
