Description
The services of sign language interpreter(s) are required to conduct sign language interpreting for Deaf and Hard of Hearing employees at the Detroit Arsenal. The main focus of the contract is for quote mark as needed services quote mark under the technical direction of the Contacting Officer's Representative and the Equal Employment Opportunity Office's Sign Language Interpreter Coordinator. The sign language agency (also referred to as contractor) is preferred to be a local entity in the Metro Detroit Area. The sign language agency shall provide coverage for Deaf and Hard of Hearing employees at the Detroit Arsenal during normal working hours, which shall be defined as 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the exception of Federal holidays, on an quote mark as needed basis quote mark. The contractor shall send a sign language interpreter(s) within a 1-hour up to a 24-hour window of time, utilizing local sign language interpreter(s) for maximization of time. The EEO Sign Language Interpreter Coordinator will communicate on a daily basis with the sign language service agency of any and all interpreting assignment(s) for quote mark as needed services quote mark. The EEO Sign Language Interpreter Coordinator is the main point of contact and deciding authority for all sign language. The sign language agency shall communicate on a daily basis with the EEO Sign Language Interpreter Coordinator regarding quote mark as needed services quote mark and shall also notify the EEO Sign Language Interpreter Coordinator of any cancellations or substitutions to the agreed upon standard coverage. TACOM LCMC, located in Warren, MI, is currently looking for new sources for our Sign Language Interpreter Services contract. If yes, how many? TACOM LCMC will be hosting an informational presentation followed by a Q&A to discuss the upcoming contract on March 10, 2015 at 9:00am.
