Description
This amendment attaches the Questions/Answers In Reference to Solicitation Number: VA248-15-Q-0625, Water Sampling Analysis All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Questions/Answers In Reference to Solicitation Number: VA248-15-Q-0625, Water Sampling Analysis Question: Will the contractor be allowed access to perform all of the Heterotrophic Plate Count samples within the Dental Clinic during one shift, or will the sampling need to be staggered over several days because the Dental Clinic is in constant use during normal working hours? Answer: Work in dental can be performed during a single shift Question: Section 2.b.iv states that level of residual biocide will be measured at the time of sampling in the field. Section 3.w.b states that oxidant residual samples will be analyzed by ASTM Method D1253-86 in a Florida DOH certified laboratory. Is this separate testing for residual oxidant in addition to the residual biocide testing? Answer: Section 2 refers to Legionella sampling where residual oxidant, pH, and water temperature measurement is to be performed in the field at the time of sampling. Section 3 refers to the Dental Water Line sampling and all analysis is performed by the lab. Question: The bid requires taking the pH, residual oxidant level, and temperature when sampling for the Legionella sample for the potable water and cooling tower water. Does this mean that the samples noted in Table #1 for oxidant residual are to be performed in the field along with the other tests, or is this to be a lab test? Question: Table #3 notes supplemental testing to be quoted for 50 samples each. Is the temperature, pH, and oxidant level to be performed in the field when the samples are taken or are these tests to be performed in the lab? If these are to be lab tests, then does that mean that the pH, oxidant residual, and temperature performed in the field are to be redundant since the same tests are to be performed in the lab? Answer: Any of the Legionella related samples need to have the temperature, residual oxidant, and pH taken in the field at the time of sampling. They don't need to be repeated at the lab.
