- Sources Sought Synopsis: Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This RFI is for market research purposes only. Respondents should not submit any proprietary information when responding to this RFI. Respondents should also note that the Government will not return any information submitted in response to this RFI. The Government is not responsible for any costs incurred by respondents regarding any responses to this RFI. Respondents must submit capability statements that clearly define the firm's ability to perform the work stated in this RFI. The requirement is for the following list of equipment: A Motion Capture System and Accessories. SPECS: The camera system must meet the following criteria: System must use passive retroreflective markers to identify 3D in space at sub-mm accuracy. Cameras must have at least a 1.3MP resolution and must operate at 240 FPS at 1.3 MP resolution. Minimum of 40' range to marker. Cameras must communicate with the data collection computer via Gigabit Ethernet and use PoE for power. Computer hardware must meet the following minimum specifications: 3.0+ GHz i7 processor, 8 GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive, one gigabit Ethernet port, 4 USB ports, and two 24 quote mark flat screen monitors. Monitors must have at least two USB ports for connecting peripheral devices and multiple video inputs including VGA and DVI. Software must be able to compute at least 6DOF information in real time from clusters having as many as 3 or 4 markers. Camera system must have a minimum capture volume of 24' x 24' x 9'H using at a minimum 12 cameras. Camera system must be able to track a minimum of 8 rigid bodies. Software calibration must use real time wand calibration and have the ability to rerun the calibration again without recapturing the wand motion. Software must provide capability to setup and compute during real time collection displacements between points, point velocities, point accelerations, and angles between three selected points. Software must use a software key (dongle) security system to restrict unauthorized use of the software THIS RFI IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool (FAR Part 10) being used to determine potential large and small business firms capable of providing the supplies described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. It is also a tool to get feedback on the requirement. Feedback is encouraged and appreciated.
