- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command Norfolk has a requirement for the USNS RAINIER (T-AOE 7) for Regular Overhaul (ROH)/Dry Dock (DD) availability, on/about 1 July 2015 for 91 days. The place of performance will be a Contractors facility on the West Coast. While the finalized list of work items is still under development, a list of the notional work package items is as follows: Elevators Fork Truck Guard Deck and Sump Renewal Upgrade FAS Station Oil Containment (T-ALT 204) Thrust Bearing Inspection Switchboard and Load Center Cleaning INMARSAT B Preventive Maintenance Galley/Scullery Equipment Maintenance Overhaul Miscellaneous Fans and Motors Dry-Docking and Undocking Vessel Steel Renewal (B-ITEM) Main Propulsion Shafting Rudders and Stern Frame Examination (ABS) Please provide a response demonstrating your firm's experience in performing similar work. This procurement will be solicited under NAICS Code 336611, Ship Building and Repair, which has a size standard of 1,000 employees. Indicate if your company is a large or small business, and if a small business, indicate if you fall within any of the further classifications (Hubzone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.) Please provide your response to this sources sought notice by 2:00 pm EST on 2 March 2015.
