Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 5 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ TO REMOVE REPLACE AND INTEGRATE COMPATIBLE BATTERIES TO THE UNINTERRUPTED POWERSUPPLY SYSTEM. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to open the synopsis/RFQ to post additional Questions and Answers which were received during the allowable Questions and Answers period, and also extend the due date for receipt of offers. The due date for receipt of offers has been extended to March 4, 2015. Question No. 33. The Government requires the contractor to provide Test and Verification of System Operations. Will the performance of standard voltage readings, internal resistance readings and connection resistance readings on each battery comply with this requirement? If no, please provide additional input on this requirement. Answer to Question No. 33: Test and Systems Verification should be conducted per standard process for batteries functionality/operations prescribed by the UPS manufacturer. Question No. 34. Does the contractor need to provide new internal battery straps/cables for this project or can the existing straps be reused? If the contractor is required to provide straps/cables, what is the size requirement on the straps/cables? Answer to Question No. 34: No, the contractor does not need to provide new internal battery straps/cables for this project. Existing straps will be reused. The due date for receipt of offers has been extended to March 4, 2015. Offers for the items described in the combined synopsis solicitation number NNJ15524734R has been extended and are now due via email by 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST), on March 4, 2015, to Mario A. Tijerina II at mario.a.tijerina@nasa.gov. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on December 18, 2014. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
