- Description
- PROPOSERS' DAY CONFERENCE DARPA will host a Proposers' Day in support of Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) DARPA-BAA 15-22, 100 Gb/s RF Backbone Phase 2 and 3 (100G) on March 17, 2015 at System Planning Corporation (SPC), 3601 Wilson Blvd, 6 th floor, Arlington, VA 22203 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM Eastern. DARPA-BAA-15-22 is expected to be released prior to the Proposers' Day. Registration begins at 8:00 AM Eastern. The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the 100 Gb/s RF Backbone Phase 2 and 3 (100G) program; promote additional discussion on this topic; address questions from potential proposers; provide a forum for potential proposers to present their capabilities for teaming opportunities and conduct one-on-one sessions with the DARPA Program Manager. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: DARPA anticipates releasing the BAA for the 100 Gb/s RF Backbone Phase 2 and 3 (100G) program with the objective to develop and test an integrated prototype airborne datalink system that uses advances in high-order modulation and spatial multiplexing to achieve 100 Gb/s to ranges of 100 km for air-to-ground links and 200 km for air-to-air links. Phase 2 will focus on system design, development, and the platform integration activities needed to evaluate performance and achieve flight certification for the equipment. The 100G prototype system capabilities and associated performance will be tested in ground field test environments, envisioned to be mountain-to-ground and/or mountain-to-mountain testing to allow clear line of sight for the point-to-point link. Phase 3 efforts will focus on final equipment integration onto the test aircraft followed by a minimum of two (2) flight test periods. The prototype will be updated with any necessary modifications resulting from Phase 2 test findings and installed onto the air and ground test platforms. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Participants must register no later than close of business (5:00 PM Eastern) March 3, 2015, by sending an email with full name, organization, address, citizenship, telephone number, and email address of attendees to: DARPA-BAA-15-22@darpa.mil. The word "PROPOSERS' DAY" must appear in the subject line of the email. There is no registration fee for attending this conference. Due to space limitations of the conference facility, attendance will be limited to the first 125 registrants, and no more than 2 representatives per organization. The Proposers' Day will be unclassified and open to the general public. All attendees will be required to present government issued photo identification upon entry to the event. Additionally, all US Citizens are required to submit a US Citizenship Verification form in order to attend this conference. Non-US citizens are required to submit a DARPA Form 60 "Foreign National Visit Request". Forms will be emailed upon receipt of registration request. The completed Citizenship Form or DARPA Form 60 must be returned to: DARPA-BAA-15-22@darpa.mil, no later than close of business March 3, 2015. The Proposers' Day does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or proposal abstracts. Attendance is voluntary and is not required to propose to any potential related Broad Agency Announcements or potential research solicitations on this topic. DARPA will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Proposers' Day. Additionally, attendees who would like to present company overviews, discuss their technology expertise, and/or discuss teaming opportunities in scheduled presentations at the conference may request to do so. Presentations may contain 4 slides and are limited to five (5) minutes each (including logistical issues). Proposers desiring to reserve a time to present at the Proposers' Day Conference should send email to DARPA-BAA-15-22@darpa.mil no later than close of business (5:00 PM Eastern) March 3, 2015. The words "COMPANY OVERVIEW" must appear in the subject line of the email. All material to be displayed at the conference must be approved in advance by both the organization that funded the research and the DARPA Program Manager. The DARPA Program Manager will screen the proposed material for sensitive, but unclassified material and approve in advance any presentations. It is the presenter's responsibility to ensure that all material they plan to present at the Proposers' Day Conference has been approved by the funding organization in advance. There will be no exceptions to this requirement. Companies are free to present, but DARPA does not sponsor that information on the Agency website. The attendance roster will be released to all attendees after the conclusion of the conference. If your name should not appear on the attendance roster you must so state in an email to DARPA-BAA-15-22@darpa.mil.
