Description

RECOVERY - THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION (SSA) FUNDED THIS ACTION IN WHOLE VIA THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (PUB. L. 111-5) (RECOVERY ACT). THE AGENCY PROVIDES THIS NOTICE "FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY." On February 13, 2015, SSA awarded Task Order #0023 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation. This opportunity was available only to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, under a pre-existing agency-wide Indefinite-delivery, Indefinite-quantity Contract Number SS00-10-60082. The task order included services related to Software Engineering Management, under technical area (8) of the contract. Task Order 0023 was issued on a time-and-materials basis, as allowable under the contract, and per Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 12.207(c)(2). Due to the nature of SSA's IT systems environment, which includes rapidly changing needs and technologies, the agency determined that a firm fixed-price structure was not suitable for this requirement. This announcement meets the requirements of FAR 5.705. This notice is for "Informational purposes only."
