Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Health Resource Center (HRC), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to enter into a contract on a basis of other than full and open competition for existing Pipkins software maintenance and support for Pipkins Workforce Management (WFM) system. WFM system is an integral part of any call center. Pipkins software is already owned by VA and is currently integrated with the telephony system to combine historical data, forecasting, staffing and scheduling to develop optimized scheduling. This allows HRC to adjust schedules so that they align with call volume, thereby allowing HRC to handle more calls. Any WFM system must integrate with the existing telephony system. The intended sole source award will be a firm-fixed price contract with Pipkins, Inc. 1 McBride and Son Center Drive, Suite 140, Chesterfield, MO 63005. The Statutory Authority for this effort falls under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-1 entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The North American Industrial Classification for this effort is 541519. The estimated date of award for this action is March 11, 2015. This notice does not in itself represent the issuance of a formal request for proposal/quote and is not intended to be taken as such. This notification shall close on February 18, 2015.
