Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to procure repair, maintenance, and inspection services of the SB-Jacksonville and SB-44. This acquisition is for non-personal services resulting in a firm fixed price contract. The contractor shall provide services for maintenance, repair, and inspection on Government owned SB identified as SB-Jacksonville and SB-44. The survey boats lengths are 40' and 26', and beams of 13'-6 quote mark and 8'-6 quote mark, respectively. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items required to successfully execute haul outs, lay days, inspections, repairs, and modifications of the survey boats, except for those items specified as Government furnished property and services. The contractor must provide an American Welding Society certified welder, and a copy of the welder's certification. All parts and equipment furnished by the contractor shall be new, current year manufacture, marine grade, high duty cycle parts and equipment for use in salt water. At a minimum the work will include haul out and laying the boats to perform repairs beneath the water line. At a minimum hull painting will include sandblasting to white metal, priming, and painting hull surfaces with a 2-part polyurethane paint. At a minimum mechanical work will include servicing, removing, machining, renewing, and/or replacing ship's rudders, engine shafts, and associated bearings. At a minimum engine mechanical work will include servicing, renewing, and/or replacing engine hoses, coolant lines, anodes, and performing tune-ups on the main engines and generator. The contractor will provide and install specified components to produce a functioning navigation system. The contractor will provide inspection and certification of life safety systems. All work shall be performed at the contractor's facility during mission down-time. The period of performance shall be for 150 days. The boats are located in the Tampa/St Petersburg, Florida area. A commercial, firm-fixed price contract is considered for this acquisition. NAICS Code is 336611; Size standard is 1,000 employees.
