- Proposed solicitation,SPE7M215R0016 is for NSN 6145-01-204-0543, a Cable, Power, Electrical. Anticipated quantity is 54,000 feet, which is to be shipped to Tracy CA 95376-5000 in 210 days. FOB point is origin I/A/W First Destination Transportation. Inspection and acceptance to take place at destination. Anticipated award to be a firm fixed price contract. The solicitation will be issued unrestricted and will include a 100% option, which may or may not be exercised. Item is to be manufactured IAW BASIC SPEC NR MIL-DTL-24643/33F REVISION NR F DTD 10/03/2006 PART PIECE NUMBER: M24643/33-03UN IAW REFERENCE SPEC NR MIL-DTL-24643C SUP 1A REVISION NR C DTD 10/03/2006 PART PIECE NUMBER: LS2SWU-7. Full and open competition applies. If Advice code is 2N, 28, or 34, this requirement is to provide material in continuous length. Multiple unit packs are unacceptable. Only continuous length will meet the requirement. If Advice code is 2P or 39, this requirement is to provide material in continuous length. Multiple unit packs are acceptable. Advice code (ADV) is located after the "For Government Use Only" heading under the Shipping Information. If there are inconsistencies between the schedule and Advice code, the Advice code takes precedence. MERCURY OR MERCURY CONTAINING COMPOUNDS SHALL NOT BE INTENTIONALLY ADDED TO,OR COME IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH,ANY HARDWARE OR SUPPLIES FURNISHED UNDER THIS CONTRACT. EXCEPTION: FUNCTIONAL MERCURY USED IN BATTERIES, FLUORESCENT LIGHTS, REQUIRED INSTRUMENTS; SENSORS OR CONTROLS; WEAPON SYSTEMS; AND CHEMICAL ANALYSIS REAGENTS SPECIFIED BY NAVSEA. PORTABLE FLUORESCENT LAMPS AND PORTABLE INSTRUMENTS CONTAINING MERCURY SHALL BE SHOCK PROOF AND CONTAIN A SECOND BOUNDARY OF CONTAINMENT OF THE MERCURY OR MERCURY COMPOUND. (IAW NAVSEA 5100-003D). SPECIAL QUP CODE ZZZ = 1500 PRESERVATION AND PACKAGING SHALL BE IAW THE LATEST REVISION OF MILITARY SPECIFICATION: MIL-DTL-12000, FOR CABLE, CORD AND WIRE. Items are to be delivered to Tracey CA 95376-5000. The solicitation is anticipated to require F.O B origin I/A/W First Destination Transportation and inspection of the supplies and packaging at destination. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreement Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. This solicitation will be made available on its issue date at HTTPS://WWW.DIBBS.BSM.DLA.MIL/. PLEASE NOTE: THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE ISSUE DATE. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The Contracting Officer may utilize online Reverse Auctioning as a means of conducting price discussions under this solicitation. A written offer is required and is to be returned to the Bid Room at DLA Land and Maritime, PO Box 3990, Columbus OH 43218-3990, or can be faxed to 614-692-4275.
