- Description
- The General Services Administration intends to issue an extension of a Time and Materials Contract to Archer Systems Incorporated for continuation of Vendor/Supplier (VSN) services under contract 4QCQGS104525 which was competitively award through open market procedures. The period of performance for this extension is for 3 months, beginning February 23, 2015 through May 22, 2015. These services are required to ensure continuity of operations and transition vendors for uninterrupted retail support to customers. Archer Systems Incorporated has been performing service under this contract since February 19, 2010 and this extension covers exigent/unforeseen conditions in the technical transition of vendors. This action is being taken in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 52.217-8, 'Option to Extend Services' which was properly inserted into the contract at time of award in 2010 to cover such exigent conditions. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, but merely notification of the Government's intent to extend the services from Archer Systems Incorporated by 3 months within the scope and limits of the same contract being performed since inception. These services include: an interface and procedures for communicating transaction data to and from those vendors who are not EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)-enabled, translate the vendors interface formats into EDI transaction formats, maintain up-to-date information concerning participating vendors if there are any changes in the vendor's information such as fax numbers, address information, Duns #, VAN information, trading partner IDs, EDI Version changes, business hours, POC etc. This is the final stages of an ongoing VSN project since February 19, 2010. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government under FAR 52.217-8, 'Option to Extend Services.' This is also being posted in compliance with PIN 2015-01, Advance Planning. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 business days, in accordance with FAR 52.217-8, a contract modification to extend services will be issued to Archer Systems Incorporated without any additional notices being posted.
