- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to procure, on an other than full and open competition basis from Raytheon Company, 2000 El Segundo Blvd, El Segundo, CA 90245-0902, a five year contract to provide Contractor Engineering Technical Services (CETS) Contractor Field Services (CFS) at various sites in support of Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Center (NATEC). These services include technical guidance, providing advice to resolve unusually complex technical problems, as well as informing, instructing and training Navy and Marine Corps military and civilian personnel in the installation, operation and maintenance of Avionics (AV) systems on F-18 Radar packages (APG 65/73/79). This includes the Navigation and bombing Radar sub-systems. Additional support using multipurpose/avionics test equipment and corrosion prevention and treatment techniques will be required. Raytheon Company is the developer and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the equipment to be supported. This effort includes instructing and training Department of Defense (DoD) personnel in the operation and maintenance of F-18 aircraft. Employees working for the OEM are the only individuals who have access to current proprietary technical data and who are capable of resolving complex maintenance and technical problems. Raytheon is the only available source with the requisite data and specific technical support personnel knowledgeable of this equipment. No other firm possesses the required data and expertise on this equipment. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Any offer must clearly demonstrate the capability to respond to this requirement without detriment to the F-18 program and must include personnel specifically qualified to provide the services described.
