Description
SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Troop Appliance Repair and Maintenance Services Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington State W911S8-15-R-0010 Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington, is currently conducting preliminary planning market research to determine commercial market practices and the existence of viable commercial sources capable of providing appliance maintenance and repair services on approximately 26,110 appliances (refrigerators, microwaves, standalone ice dispensers, dishwashers, ranges, range hoods, clothes washers, and clothes dryers ), and dryer duct cleanings. The anticipated period of performance is 1 April 2016 through 31 March 2017 with the possibility of up to three one-year option periods (four years total). An important outcome of this research is the possibility of setting this acquisition for exclusive competitive participation within a specific Small Business Administration (SBA) program in accordance with (IAW) FAR 19.201(a). Specific SBA programs are veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, economically-disadvantage women-owned small business, and women-owned small business. The tentative North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code selected for this acquisition is 811412, Appliance Repair and Maintenance, and the small business size is $15 million per year. MICC JBLM is seeking industry information and comments from sources with capabilities to perform the contract with relevant experience in all of the functional areas mentioned in the description of services. Interested parties shall complete and submit the attached Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information Questionnaire to the Government. You are advised that providing responses to the questions will not automatically include you in the acquisition process for future solicitation. Description of Services: The contractor shall plan, program, administer, manage, and execute the work necessary to provide the specified services for inspection, maintenance, installation, disconnection, and repair of specified appliances; and dryer vent system maintenance and cleaning for specified Government facilities, primarily Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH). As defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS), the contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, management, transportation (including gas and travel time), tools, supplies, materials, parts, equipment, and labor to maintain and repair the below Government-owned appliances(Appliance manufacturers include, but are not limited to, Speed Queen, Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, and Frigidaire): (Qty On-Hand) Appliance (466) Refrigerator, compact (dorm type, ~7 cu ft) (7,419) Refrigerator, full-size, single door, ~10 cu ft (2,944) Range (most are electric; some are gas) (932) Microwave oven (installed over stove) (6,412) Microwave oven (countertop) (84) Ice dispenser (standalone, as in hotels) (205) Dishwasher (1,197) Clothes washing machine (1,596) Clothes Dryer (most are electric; some are gas) (1,868) Clothes washer/dryer combination as well as stacked dryer/dryer combination (2,944) Range hood (43) Industrial-grade washer (26,110) TOTAL APPLIANCES Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), WA 98433 also requires the following dryer ducts to be serviced twice per year (Approx Qty) System l) (1,983) Individual wall-mounted dryer ducts m) ( 242) Convergence roof-mounted dryer ducts Please see attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) for additional information.
