- Description
- SLAC seeks vendors that can provide OPCPA (pre-amplifier)with the following Minimum Specifications: a) The parameters of the OPCPA are specified below. • Pulse repetition rate frequency 0.1-1 MHz variable (nominal 0.1 MHz) • Average optical output power >1.5 W compressed • Pulse duration 15 fs compressed or negatively stretched to 0.7-1.5 ps for further amplification • Compressed pulses have no pedestal, satellite pulses <10% • Pulse energy >15 µ J at 0.1 MHz or >1.5 µ J at 1 MHz • Energy stability <1% rms • Beam pointing <10% of beam divergence• Center wavelength out of laser amplifier 780 nm (nominal) • Spectral range 0.7-1 µm • Spectral bandwidth transform limited, no ripples, no pedestals, • Collimated free space output, M2 <1.3 • Polarization extinction ratio >30 dB, fixed in direction • Ellipticity >0.85 • Negligible optical parametric fluorescence background • Pulse contrast 10-7 at >10 ps, 10-6 at >1 ps • Long-term stability for 24/7 operation. b) The OPCPA is seeded with a white-light continuum, generated with a fraction of the 1030 nm fiber amplifier system (3 µJ pulse energy. This corresponds to 0.3 and 3 W for 0.1 and 1 MHz, respectively). c) The OPCPA seed pulses are stretched using a negative or positive dispersion stretcher which allows to select and/or manipulate spectral components in the Fourier domain. d) The seed pulse repetition rate is tunable between 0.1-1 MHz e) The OPCPA is pumped by the remaining >27 W average power beam, further referred to as fundamental pump beam. f) The fundamental pump beam is frequency doubled to generate the OPCPA pump with a conversion efficiency of >50%. g) The OPCPA output pulses are either stretched to 70% of the Yb:YAG main amplifier pulse duration (pump pulse duration of 1-2 ps nominal at FWHM) or compressed to <15 fs pulse duration. h) The OPCPA setup includes a set of optics and optomechanical components to realize a passive CEP stable mid-IR OPCPA. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. VENDORS INTERESTED IN BEING CONSIDERED AS A POTENTIAL SOURCE SHOULD IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS AN "INTERESTED PARTY" VIA THE FBO PORTAL. DO NOT CONTACT THE SUBCONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR.
