Below are minimal specifications to satisfy both the target animal and functional requirements: Four-channel amplifier, featuring software (not hardware)-based offset and gain adjustment. Auto gain ranges to satisfy whole-body, head-out plethysmography of rabbits and non-human primates USB connectivity 8-pin LEMO style electrical connector for differential pressure transducer connection. Amplifier dimensions no larger than 6 quote mark L x 8 quote mark W x 3 quote mark H. 8 digital outputs (I/O), to drive external devices Timer output signal to trigger stimulator: 0,1 to 1KHz bus protocol: USB 2.0+ Compatible with EMKA IOX acquisition software as specified in the MEC for Plethysmograph Software Suite. Minimum Essential Characteristics for Plethysmograph Software Suite To continue on-going infectious agent research, necessary software upgrades are required to support advanced head-out, whole-body plethysmography. Below are minimal specifications to satisfy both the target animal and functional requirements: Software capable of communicating for measurement purposes natively compatible with EMKA TECHNOLOGIES' quote mark usbAMP quote mark -model USB amplifiers. Software capable of opening, analyzing, and reporting on data obtained using EMKA TECHNOLOGIES' IOX software, version 2.8 or higher Security options for various user roles (user, Administrator, etc). Multi-Study management. Remote monitoring of acquisition system through remote desktop. Visually quantify real-time analysis through the use of the Beat Superposition panel. Derive pulmonary function measurements such as frequency, volume, flow, and accumulated inhaled volume in real-time. Setup customized template views that provide user defined trend graphs, comparative trend graphs, signal graphs, and data tables. Adjust breath-to-breath analysis based on real-time changes in experimental conditions via the Tuning greater than greater than Analyzer panel and/or the Alarms panel. Control of external devices as a result of an Alarm trigger
