- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Oklahoma City, OK, is issuing this Sources Sought for metal and fiberglass painting. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to this Sources Sought. Therefore any cost associated with the submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. The FAA is currently renovating their paint shop to meet OSHA and EPA requirements and to modernize the equipment and painting processes. This renovation is expected to last through 15 April 2015. In order to meet FAA painting requirements during this time, outside paint vendors may be utilized. The requirements include painting various antenna parts, which will vary in size and construction materials (metal and fiberglass). Most requirements will not be time specific; however, some unknown emergency repairs that require painting could arise. This announcement is open to all interested metal and fiberglass paint shops that have a physical presence within a 50 radius of the MMAC, 6500 S. MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73169. Interested vendors should provide a short description of the shop s capabilities to paint various materials (metal / fiberglass) and the dimensions of the largest paint booth. The response should also include a completed Business Declaration form (attached). Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (www.sam.gov) is desirable, but not a requirement. All correspondence should include the words Paint Shop in the subject line. All responses to this Sources Sought announcement must be received by Wednesday, February 11, 2015, 1:00 PM (CST).
