Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the (VA) Medical Center located in Lake City, FL to interested sources to provide: ITEM # 1- 400/500 POUND GAS HEATED DRYING AND CONDITIONING TUMBLERS WITH INTERNAL LINT COLLECTION SYSTEM: A.Furnish and install two (2) each 400/500 pound Non-Pass Through gas heated dryers with Internal (To the Building) lint collection. The dryer shall have a color touch screen controls. The cylinder size (rated capacity) shall be 400/500 pounds, based upon a maximum 2.96 pounds per cubic foot of cylinder space. Dryers shall be capable of being sling loaded from an existing monorail system. Any changes to the monorail spurs that load the dryer shall be the responsibility of the successful offeror. Non-Pass through dryers are to be located in the new expanded section of the laundry. B.Furnish and install one (1) each 400/500 Pass Through pound gas heated dryers with Internal (To the Building) lint collection. The dryer shall have a color touch screen controls. The cylinder size (rated capacity) shall be 400/500 pounds, based upon a maximum 2.96 pounds per cubic foot of cylinder space. Pass through dryer to be located in the existing laundry section of the laundry. ITEM # 2 - 800/900 POUND WASHER-EXTRACTOR: Furnish and install new, three (3) each, front/top side loading 800/900 LB pass through washer-extractor. The washer-extractor shall be of the shell and cylinder type. The size (capacity) shall be based on 5.7 pounds of soiled textiles per cubic foot of cylinder volume (GROSS). ITEM # 3 - 400/500 POUND WASHER-EXTRACTOR: Furnish and install new, one (1) each, front/top side loading 400/500 LB pass through washer-extractor. The washer-extractor shall be of the shell and cylinder type. The size (capacity) shall be based on 5.7 pounds of soiled textiles per cubic foot of cylinder volume (GROSS). ITEM # 4 - 100/110 Pound Washer Extractor: Furnish and install new, 1 (ea) front-loading soft mount 100/110 LB washer-extractor. The washer-extractor shall be of the shell and cylinder type. ITEM # 5 - 160/170 POUND DRYING AND CONDITIONING TUMBLER: Furnish and install new, 0ne (1) each, 160/170 pound gas heated drying and conditioning tumbler with internal lint collection. The dryers shall be a single door, non-pass through type dryer. Outside make up air is not required. ITEM # 6 - Small Piece Folders: Furnish and install two (2) each Small Piece Folders with color touch screen controls & information systems" that incorporate automatic/manual machine operation, self-testing, fault display and built-in diagnostics. Folders shall be located near the folding tables so they may be used in tandem. Folders shall include a digital counter and be return to feed. **********PLEASE NOTE**********For all interested parties, a recommended pre-solicitation conference will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 9:00am at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center located at 619 South Marion Avenue, Lake City, FL 32025. This equipment is to be installed at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Lake City, FL.
