Description
Revised Synopsis/Pre-Solicitation Notice for General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service GS-02P-15-DT-C-0008. Design Build Contract for Walnut Street Entrance Enhancements and Improvements to the 1st Floor HVAC System THE ANTICIPATED PROCUREMENT IS SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES CONCERNS ONLY. The date for the release of the described acquisition is revised from on or about January 15, 2015 to on or about February 17, 2015. The General Services Administration (GSA) announces the anticipated release of a Request for Proposals that will result in a design/build ("DB") contract that includes services required to improve security, visitor queuing, visitor screening and the energy efficiency at the Walnut St. entrance for the Peter W. Rodino Jr. FOB ("Rodino"). The contractor shall also provide complete DB services to correct deficiencies and improve the energy efficiency of the Rodino lobby Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning ("HVAC"). Upon design approval the contractor shall provide any and all constructions services and ensure the construction is accomplished in accordance with the construction documents, schedule, budget and other requirements contained in the DB contract. In addition to the previously publicized anticipated requirements, GSA intends to include the following options to the acquisition that GSA can exercise at its discretion. Although GSA will provide additional details within the RFP, these options may include, but may not be limited to requirements such as: electrical work in the building's subbasement, application of an epoxy waterproofing membrane to a rooftop mechanical room floor, refurbishment of the building's freight elevators, painting, wall repairs and cleaning of the childcare facility, and limited build-out of temporary office space within the building. The estimated price range for the Project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Substantial completion for the first floor HVAC requirements is anticipated to be 180 calendar days from NTP. Substantial completion for the Walnut Street Entrance upgrades is anticipated to be 365 calendar days from NTP. GSA anticipates releasing the Request for Proposals on or about February 17, 2015 with a date for receipt of proposals 30 days after the issuance of the RFP.
