THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT for The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Office, who intends to acquire, on a competitive small business set-aside basis, services to provide healthcare career mentoring and training for Wounded, Ill, and Injured (WII) Sailors and Marines interested in healthcare careers. THE DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS SOURCES SOUGHT REFLECTS CURRENT KNOWLEDGE AS OF THIS PRINTING. THESE FACTS MAY BE UPDATED OR REVISED ON THE ACTUAL REQUEST FOR QUOTES, WHEN ISSUED. The contractor shall provide a Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) customized healthcare reintegration and education program for active duty Wounded, Ill and Injured (WII) Sailors and Marines (known as the Navy Program) interested in healthcare careers, for the purpose of providing career development and a succession pipeline of wounded warrior students for Federal Civil Service positions of interest to Navy Medicine. These services are currently being provided under contract N00189-12-C-Z093. It is intended that this procurement will be processed as in accordance with FAR Part 15. It is anticipated to award a firm fixed price service contract. It is anticipated that the base performance period will be 11 June 2015 through 10 June 2016, with a 60 day start-up period making award by 10 April 2015. It is further anticipated that an additional four (4) one-year option periods will be included for a total maximum of five (5) years of service if all options are exercised. This is 100% small business set-aside. The solicitation, N00189-15-R-Z004, is anticipated to be released by the end of January 2015 and will be made available electronically upon its release to www.neco.navy.mil.
