Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS), National Wildlife Research Center (NWRC), Bismarck, ND, intends to issue a sole source contract with George Linz as interim Research Project Leader, for approximately up 32 hours per week, until the position can be advertised, filled by a qualified full-time employee; mentor the new hire for an undetermined time. The contract is for one year from date of award and an estimated one one-year option, if required, for the purpose of completing the mentoring and training. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
