This agenda includes integration with Afghan-led programs directly aligned with any or all the three pillars of development outlined in the National Action Plan for the Women of Afghanistan (NAPWA): 1. Security; 2. Government, Rule of Law, and Human Rights, including leadership and political participation; and 3. Economic and Social Development. This scholarship program will prepare women to assume positions of leadership, resulting in more inclusive, effective, and sustainable social, political, and economic progress over time. Promote Scholarship will increase Afghan women's access to higher education and enable acquisition of the professional skills required to productively participate in Afghanistan's economy and governance arenas at all levels of leadership and decision-making.
