Description
POST DATE: January 9, 2015 DUE DATE: January, 23 2015 The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Advanced Technology and Assessments Branch (Code 52130) is seeking information on ambulance decontamination equipment. Scope is limited to equipment that utilizes disinfectants to decontaminate ambulance cabins. Once eligible products have been identified, additional information will be requested. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Authorized Equipment List (AEL) item numbers for this equipment are AEL # 08D2-03-TDEW, Equipment, Technical Decontamination Wet and AEL # 08D2-04-SOLN, Solution, Decontamination, Site (Not for Personnel). The target audience for this information is the emergency responder community and all submittals should be suited to their specific needs. Review of this information is being performed for the DHS System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) Program, which aims to conduct objective assessments and validations of commercial equipment and systems and provide those results to the emergency responder community. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SAVER Program documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and website; 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor; 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address; and 4. Product name/model as well as information on the product, including the manufacturers suggested retail price, the disinfectant used by the equipment, and if the disinfectant is EPA registered. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SAVER projects. If a SAVER project on this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors including emergency responder surveys and responder focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through the Federal Business Opportunities posting agency. Vendors will be contacted following submission for more detailed product information. Vendor-provided information may be reformatted for publication in SAVER Program documents. SUBMISSIONS: Respondents are required to complete the attached form (AmbulanceDeconEquip_RFI.pdf) and follow the submission instructions on the second page of the form. The form and a Microsoft Word document with this same announcement are located on SSC LANT's e-commerce website: https://e-commerce.sscno.nmci.navy.mil. Once on the SSC LANT e-commerce site, look for the SSC Atlantic yellow folder on the left, open the folder, then under View By select the Special Notices link and look under the folder with the date of the posting.
