Description
This announcement serves as a Sources Sought Synopsis issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This Sources Sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation nor is this notice for a request for quotations. DO NOT submit a quote or proposal in response to this synopsis. For the purpose of this acquisition, the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 811212 and the size standard is $25M. The purpose of this notice is to identify companies capable and qualified to provide maintenance of Pitney Bowes mail inserter equipment. Interested parties shall provide the following information: evidence that they are an Authorized Pitney Bowes service provider. The objective of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain the services of a Pitney Bowes Authorized Service Provider to provide preventive maintenance services for mail insert! er equipment. Description of Government-Owned Equipment in need of Maintenance: ?Two (2) Pitney Bowes Flowmaster Productivity Series (FPS) devices (Chassis Model ZX03) ?Three (3) Pitney Bowes Mailstream Productivity Series (MPS) inserters (Chassis Model Y503) ?Maintain SSA developed Track and Trace functionality on three (3) MPS and two (2) FPS systems with enhancements as provided. ?Equipment Locations: National Computer Center (NCC) 6201 Security Blvd. Baltimore, Maryland 21235 Second Support Center (SSC) 3604 Louis Stephens Drive Durham, North Carolina 27709 Maintenance shall consist of: ?General Description - The Contractor shall provide all necessary maintenance, labor, documentation, repair parts, maintenance supplies, tools, test equipment, transportation, and other related services. ?Preventive Maintenance ? Must perform on-site scheduled preventive maintenance for each system maintained under the contract at least once per week during the Principle Period of Maintenance (PPM). The NCC and SSC PPM is all Federal Workdays, Monday through Friday, 1st shift 6:00AM to 2:30 PM. This includes inspecting, lubricating, cleaning or adjusting the equipment to put it in optimum operating condition for SSA use. Shall provide all labor required to replace all parts found to be defective due to normal wear and tear of this equipment. In addition, to provide all parts and supplies required for preventive maintenance. Any parts replaced shall be reordered and listed in the monthly Preventive Maintenance report. ?Remedial Maintenance ? The Contractor shall provide on-site maintenance service with a technician on site at the NCC during the PPM, Monday through Friday. The contractor shall assure the availability of a qualified technician to perform necessary maintenance services at the SSC with a 4 hour response time and a 2 hour call back time from initial trouble call. Interested parties shall provide a Capabilities Statement and any information regarding the availability of their services on existing contract vehicles for which SSA may utilize. Such vehicles include General Services Administration (GSA), Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) and agency Indefinite Delivery and Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. Interested parties shall provide company profile, including the name of the business, complete contact information, business size and socioeconomic category, such as: Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Women-Owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, 8(a) Small Business, etc. Interested parties should respond via FedConnect no later than 1/15/2015 at 12:00 p.m., Eastern Time. This Sources Sought Notice is to assist the SSA in identifying an appropriate acquisition strategy only. No solicitation package is available at this time. This is not a request for proposal or quote and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. SSA will not notify respondents of the results of the data received. SSA will not make an award based on responses received; however, SSA will use this information to determine procurement approach. SSA will not honor or acknowledge requests for copies of a solicitation.
