- Questions and Answers No information given here amends the solicitation. Question 1: Can a 4 wheeler access the bridge site? Answer 1. No. Question 2: Can we design a rock gambion out of field fence or hog panels to meet your needs? Answer 2. No. Wire gabion baskets furnished by USFS are to be installed according to contract drawings and manufacturer's specifications. Question 3: Regarding the tie back cables, how far up the trees will they be fastened? Answer 3. The USFS anticipates installation of wire rope to be vertically located above ground around identified trees within arm's reach of an average height general laborer. Question 4: Will I need to climb the trees with spurs, or is the tie off spot near the ground? Answer 4. A: No; Refer to response to previous question. Question 5: It looks like all the materials are available in Juneau, if not please advise. Answer 5. All government-furnished materials are available in Juneau. The Contractor will be required to secure all other needed materials from local or on-line sources.
