- AMENDMENT 1: The purpose of this NOI is to announce a sole source extension of services to contract W81XWH-11-P-0551 IAW FAR Clause 52.217-8 which is contained in this contract. There will be no RFP to follow. The Government is not entertaining proposals at this time. A competitive follow-on requirement will be competed in the future. Anyone wishing information regarding the competitive follow-on requirement should contact Ms. Courtney Greene via email at courtney.l.greene3.civ@mail.mil __________________________________________________________________________________ The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to issue a sole source, six (6) month extension, pursuant to FAR 52.217-8, under Contract W81XWH-11-P-0551 for enterprise licenses, services, materials, and equipment to provide a Military Health System (MHS) enterprise-wide Ambulatory Decision Support Tool, for the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO) with MCG Health, LLC. The period of performance with be six (6) months and will be 3 January 2015 through 2 July. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The FAR citation is 6.302-1 and the far citation title is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In addition, this contract includes FAR Clause 52.217-8, Extension of Services which allows the Government the ability to extend the current award for up to six months. The six (6) month extension of services is to ensure the DHA Office of the Chief Medical Officer has no break in service while a competitive recompete is solicited and evaluated. Only MCG Health can provide this short duration extension without a loss of efficiency and without duplication of effort and increased cost to the Government. MCG Health currently possesses the operational infrastructure and knowledge required for continued successful performance. MCG's personnel have the requisite knowledge and experience to provide the requested support services successfully while a new competitive acquisition is conducted at DHA. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated services as outlined above are invited to submit written notification to the Contracting Officer, Mr. Justin Pickett at justin.h.pickett.civ@mail.mil NO LATER THAN 2 January 2015 at 12PM Eastern Time. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this Notice of Intent is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USAMRAA will proceed with the extension of services under contract W81XWH-11-P-0551.
