Description

Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has an ongoing requirement for maintenance of its lab equipment (Eagle 3 Generator Micro-EDXRF system) at the Fire Research & Forensic Science Laboratories. ATF has determined that it is in the Government's best interest to award this requirement with one (1) base year and up to three (3) option years to Edax, Inc. based on the attached JOFOC. The estimated total is $56,437.45. THIS IS NOT A SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. NEITHER IS THIS NOTICE OF INTENT A SOLICITATION/REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Interested firms should submit technical literature showing their capability of meeting the Government's requirement by the close of this Special Notice. The award resulting from this requirement will be issued pursuant to FAR Part 12, 'Acquisition of Commercial Items', and FAR Part 13, 'Simplified Acquisition Procedures'.
