Description

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION St. Louis Clinic High Res Imagery Files 1.0Description 1.1 The St. Louis VA in support of the Jefferson Barracks Major Projects is seeking information to determine procurement strategy for providing photographic images to meet the needs of an Architectural Specification for the new Clinic Building currently under construction at the VA Medical Center, Jefferson Barracks Division, St. Louis MO. 1.2 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the VA is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Interested Contractors are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. 2.0Background A New Clinic Building is being planned for the St. Louis VA Jefferson Barracks campus. Interior windows have been specified with laminated glass to be produced with black and white, high resolution photographic images. The VA needs to procure the images if and when a RFP and resulting contract is awarded. 3.0Requested Information 3.1 The images must meet the following requirements: "Digital images with 150 DPI minimum "Files shall be saved at 100% of the intended output size in RGB format "Files can be saved as EPS, TIF, or PSD "Files cannot be submitted in JPG, GIF or PNG formats 3.2 The VA has selected subject matter for 15 unique images. Attachment 1 to this document is a line item listing of the images. Attachment 2 contains reference images of some of the Line Items; the reference images are not meant to be a template for the images the VA is seeking. 3.3 The VA is seeking insight to the procurement strategy of the needed images: "Will one contractor be able provide the entire requirement or will multiple contractors be required based on subject and/or location? "Cost per image? How would cost be affected if two or more options are required for each image? "How much time should be allowed for the images to be produced? 4.0 Responses 4.1 Interested parties are requested to respond to this RFI via e-mail only to james.payne4@va.gov with cc: to Karen Munroe, Contracting Officer; email: karen.munroe@va.gov no later than 1/16/2015. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. 4.2 Interested Offerors shall provide, at a minimum, the following information: 4.2.1. Name, mailing address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail of designated point of contact. 4.2.2 Estimated cost 4.2.3. Business type (large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business, woman-owned small business, very small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business) based upon North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541512, Computer Systems Design Services. 6.0 Questions Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing by e-mail to the Contracting Officer, email address: karen.munroe@va.gov. 7.0 Summary THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY to identify sources that can provide St. Louis Clinic High Res Imagery Files. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The VA has not made a commitment to procure any of the items discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
