- The U. S. Army Contracting Command, Tenant Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Industrial Refrigeration Service, Inc., 1116 Middle River Rd Suite K, Baltimore, MD 21220-2412. The contractor shall replace the existing (6) Cornell pumps that use mechanical open seals. The new pumps shall be quote mark seal-less quote mark canned motor pumps and have built in bearing wear indicators. All pumps shall meet the design specifications required for the application of the -70 F recirculation package. Contractor shall evaluate the system to determine if removal of the ammonia with a pumper truck is needed. Contractor shall modify the ATC Piping &Instrument Diagrams electronic drawing to show the installed system modifications. Contractor shall review the mechanical building exhaust fan system to determine if the fans meet International Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) guidelines for an ammonia facility. Contractor shall provide a report describing the relationship between the building fan system and the IIAR design guidelines. Contractor is required to research and collect all information needed to meet the intent of this project. The contractor is required to review every aspect of the system operating application. All work shall meet IIAR, Refrigeration Engineering Technical Association (RETA), and industry safety practices and installation standards. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811310 and the size standard is $7.0 million. Interested persons may identify their interest, in writing, to the Government point of contact. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 12:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time, 5 January 2015. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
