- Description
- An RFP will be issued for the continued operation of the Northwest Texas Outreach and Admissions Contract. Job Corps is a national residential and non-residential training and employment program, administered by the U.S. Department of Labor. It is aimed at addressing the multiple barriers to employment which are faced by disadvantaged youth, ages 16-24 years, throughout the United States. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will provide Outreach and Admissions services supporting the following locations (see Local Workforce Development Boards website http://www.twc.state.tx.us/dirs/wdbs/wdbmap.html: • Panhandle (LWDB 1) • South Plains (LWDB 2) • North Texas (LWDB 3) • North Central Texas (LWDB 4)* • Tarrant County (LWDB 5) • West Central Texas (LWDB 9) • Concho Valley (LWDB 12) *Denotes that this LWDB is shared with another contract The contract will have a 2-year base period, (anticipated period of performance October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2017) plus three (3) governmental unilateral renewal options of one (1) year each. The RFP will be available on or about January 16, 2015. These services are being solicited RESTRICTED. The RFP can be obtained from FedBizOps and/or the Job Corps Acquisition Web Page, located on the World Wide Web, at http://www.doleta.gov/jobcorps/RFP_main_new.cfm. The arrival goals for OA are total arrivals of 703 youths as indicated below: Clearfield: 72 Male Residents, 77 Female Residents Gary: 50 Male Residents, 40 Female Residents Guthrie: 145 Male Residents, 100 Female Residents North Texas: 98 Male Residents, 121 Female Residents The successful contractor shall provide Outreach and Admissions Services. Proposals in response to the RFP will consist of a written submission and Oral Presentation and as described in Section L of the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. Submitted proposals will become the property of the United States Government. Unsuccessful and/or surplus proposals will not be returned and will be scheduled for destruction.
